Grade 2+, Beautiful full cross with all lions and castles boldly visible (and transposed) in the cross quadrants (the lions of the design of the 1620-1621 time period).  Excellent full shield with all shield elements clearly visible.  The assayer mark to the left of the shield is a muddled T, confirmed by the cross side lion design since he was the assayer during the 1620-1621 time period.  This is a high end 4 reales Atocha coin with great details and excellent eye appeal.  It's obviously a high end grade 1 coin, even though it is incorrectly graded a 2 on the certificate.  This special coin is mounted in an 18k gold bezel with a custom 18k gold fixed bale in the shape of a cross.  The coin, with bezel, is slightly larger than a half dollar in size.  Supplied with the original photo type Certificate of Authenticity.  Also included, is the booklet "Shipwrecks and Their Coins: Volume 1 - 1622 Spanish Treasure Fleet" that provides details about the fleet and its coins, and the book "Sweat of the Sun, Tears of the Moon", personally autographed by the author, Syd Jones.

Grade 2, Excellent well struck full cross with all lions and castles visible. Equally nice full shield with a clear mint mark P at left and denomination mark VIIII (8 reales) at right.  The assayer mark is listed as not visible on the certificate, but there appears to be a muddled assayer mark M below the mint mark P.  Please note, this is a heavy 8 reales coin mounted in a silver bezel with fixed bale, and with bezel, is about the size of a silver dollar.  Supplied with the original photo type Certificate of Authenticity.  Also included, is the booklet "Shipwrecks and Their Coins: Volume 1 - 1622 Spanish Treasure Fleet" that provides details about the fleet and its coins.
