Atocha Coin Jewelry

We stock numerous bezeled Atocha coins in various denominations and grades for customers who are in need of quick delivery. Coins are wrapped with solid 14K gold bezels with a fixed bale unless otherwise noted.  The listed coin weight and diameter does not include the bezel.  Original Mel Fisher Certificates of Authenticity accompany all Atocha coins.

Grade 1, Excellent full cross with both lions and one castle clearly visible.  Deep struck, nearly full shield with a partial assayer mark T at left.  The assayer is listed as "not visible" on the certificate, but the lion design is from the 1620 - 1621 time period when assayer T held office.  An excellent grade 1 bezeled 4 reales Atocha coin.

Grade 1, Nice cross side details including a nearly full cross with all lions and castles visible, particularly those in the left cross quadrants.  Nearly full, double struck with the mint mark P at left and PHIL of the King's name (Philip III) at right.  A high end 4 reales Atocha coin with nice cross side metal and eye appeal.

Grade 2+, Nicely centered , nearly full cross with two nice castles visible in the quadrants.  Excellent shield side details including a nice shield with the mint and assayer marks P and Q at left, denomination mark IIII (4 reales) at right, and the King's ordinal III (for Philip III) at the 5 o'clock position in the legend.  An interestingly shaped cob mounted in a silver bezel with 14k gold prongs and bale.
